To light the wood stove, make sure the thermostat or damper is set to high to allow for maximum air flow. The picture below shows the damper on high.

The catalytic bypass needs to be open as shown in the picture below.

You should have a bundle of firewood with fire starter.

Put one piece of firewood in the stove and break the fire starter up in squares and place next to the piece of firewood you placed in the stove.

Stack some of the smaller pieces of wood on top of the base you created in a tee pee fashion.

There is a lighter in the drawer of the TV stand next to the stove. Go ahead and light the fire starter.

Close the door but leave it ajar until the fire gets started. Note in this picture it would have been better to have a smaller wood. You could also try splitting the fire starter into four squares instead of two. Once the fire gets going and there is a good bed of coals you can close the catalytic bypass. This helps the stove burn cleaner, but it needs a hot enough fire to work properly.

Open the bypass to add more wood. Once the new wood has caught fire you can close the bypass. The above picture shows the bypass closed.
You can build a fire in the traditional way. Build your fire in a tee pee fashion with ample paper and small kindling to facilitate an up draft in the chimney. You want to heat the chimney as quickly as possible to prevent smoke backing up. Paper can smoke quite a bit when burning and can flow back into the room if not possible. This is why we have made the move towards fire starters.
Here is a video on the stove operation from the manufacturer.
When all else fails, reference the manual.
